Regional Sales Director, A.I. Native Cybersecurity | Southeast
Role Overview
You know the moment a CISO stops listening to your pitch and starts telling you what’s actually broken. The alerts nobody has time to investigate. The team stretched across too many tools. The renewal coming up for a service they’re not convinced is delivering. That’s where this sale starts. Verge Management Group is representing a confidential cybersecurity company hiring a Regional Sales Director for the Southeastern, US. Its managed detection and response offering combines AI, automation, and human security expertise to help organizations investigate threats and respond more effectively. Your job is to turn that capability into a business case a security leader can defend. What needs to improve? Why change providers or approaches? What would make the disruption worth it? You’ll develop business across the Southeastern, US market, build relationships with enterprise buyers and channel partners, and own opportunities from first conversation through close. If you enjoy opening doors, getting underneath a security problem, and earning a deal against an incumbent, keep reading.
The Mission
- ·Build a territory with intention. Identify the accounts, relationships, and partners that deserve your time. Turn that focus into qualified pipeline.
- ·Create your own opportunities. Prospect directly and work with channel partners to reach security decision-makers.
- ·Get beyond the product presentation. Understand how buyers run security operations today, where the gaps are, and what would justify a change.
- ·Own the deal. Lead discovery, coordinate technical validation with sales engineering, build executive alignment, and navigate procurement and negotiation.
- ·Make partners productive. Build relationships around actual opportunities and shared execution.
- ·Keep the forecast credible. Know the decision process, the obstacles, and the next commitment. A good meeting and a likely signature are different things.
- ·Bring the market back to the business. Share the objections, competitive intelligence, and customer priorities that should shape how the company sells.
Relevant Skills and Experience
- ·5+ years in cybersecurity, SaaS, or enterprise technology sales, with a record of meeting or exceeding quota.
- ·Experience winning new business and navigating complex enterprise buying processes. Be ready to talk through what you personally sourced, influenced, and closed.
- ·The ability to earn credibility with CISOs, security operations leaders, and technical stakeholders.
- ·Enough cybersecurity fluency to connect managed detection and response to a customer’s operational challenges and business priorities.
- ·Strong discovery, negotiation, and territory planning skills.
- ·The initiative to work effectively in a startup environment, alongside sales engineering, marketing, and customer success.
Experience selling MDR or adjacent security operations solutions, and relationships across Canadian enterprise buyers and channel partners, would be particularly relevant.
