Role Overview

Hyperscale data centers get built at a pace the security industry hasn't caught up to. Concrete gets poured, BMS gets commissioned, and OT networks go live, often before anyone has checked whether the controls integrator is dragging unmanaged switches and unpatched jump boxes onto the floor. That's the reality.

This is a confidential retained search for a Senior Director of OT Cybersecurity Strategy at a hyperscaler whose logo you'd recognize. You won't be patching PLCs. You'll be the one making sure the specs, standards, and partner requirements are right before the first cage is built across a North American portfolio that's expanding aggressively.

You'll own how this company engages its building and design partners on OT security. That means the architects, MEP firms, GCs, and controls integrators who decide what actually gets installed and how it talks. Get it wrong at design, and the problem lives in the walls for twenty years.

Most OT security companies market like they're selling accounting software. We're looking for the person who finds that as offensive as we do.

Power grids. Oil pipelines. Manufacturing floors. Water treatment plants. These aren't abstractions .... they're physical systems that keep civilization running, and they are actively being targeted by criminals and nation-states. This company exists to protect them.

The product works. Fortune 100 customers and U.S. Government contracts back that up, along with funding from Founders Fund and others. What isn't built yet is a marketing engine. That's where you come in. You'll be the first person in this seat, working directly with the Executive team as well as field teams to translate deep technical expertise into market presence and pipeline.

This isn't a "manage the agency and write the newsletter" role. You're the first marketing hire. You're building the function.

Focusing on the Western US territory, this role is ideal for technical experts based in California, Colorado, Arizona, or Washington. You will serve as the tip of the spear in enterprise sales cycles, bridging the gap between complex OT/IoT security capabilities and client business objectives.

Focused exclusively on the Energy sector. You will be the primary strategic partner for a select group of global Oil & Gas accounts. You basically live on Louisiana Street and Eldridge Parkway.

We need an engineer who can translate protocol-level vulnerabilities into business risk. Deep OT Networking as well as BACnet and IoT security experience is required.

Design and maintain high-availability networks for SCADA systems. Experience with Purdue Model segmentation, industrial firewalls, and ruggedized switching infrastructure required.

Execute authorized red team engagements against industrial control systems. You understand Modbus, DNP3, and how to probe PLCs without tripping plant operations.

Lead the design and implementation of secure OT architectures for critical infrastructure assets. You will define security standards for ICS/SCADA environments and bridge the gap between IT security policies and operational reality.
